Cosmetic Auto Repair Service (CARS) first started back in 2002 under a different name as a mobile smart repair franchise. Using a mobile workshop we carried out repairs on driveways and workplaces to cars, vans and motorhomes. The business expanded over the next 4 years and eventually consisted of three vans working the Weymouth, Dorchester and Blandford area providing a first class mobile repair service. However, the only downfall was the great british weather which obviously hindered the business especially through the winter months.
So CARS decided to move forward with a fixed site and after several months of negotiation we finally settled on a workshop and office which are based in brand new purpose-designed buildings in Oxford Court on the Granby Industrial Estate, Weymouth, Dorset. Oxford Court has a number of local businesses and is prime real estate. This is home to CARS workshop, training and storage facilities.
As well a new premises we changed the name of the business to Cosmetic Auto Repair Services and at the same time we formed ProTint - a professional window tinting company. Both these changes were as a result of keeping up with customers demands and giving us more flexibility on our prices. No longer tied to a franchise we could afford to reduce our prices, lower our overheads and give us greater access to better paints and chemicals. Since these changes were implemented the business has grown stronger and our reputation has increased within the local area.
With a few international contracts under our belt and, despite the recession, CARS is growing. We are the best and most established smart repairers in the area and have stood the harsh economic times as others have failed.
